Course Description

This course is designed to cover all the competencies related to the construction, operation, inspection and maintenance (including dry dock repairs) of the hatch cover and its components. It covers the training requirements on hatch covers as mentioned in STCW A - II/1 and STCW - II/2 and specified in Rightship RISQ questionnaire.

The faculty involved in this course were trained by hatch cover expert from Europe and author of various Hatch cover inspection and maintenance guides. The instructions from various Maker’s manuals are inserted in the training for better understanding by candidates.

Course is highly interactive with images, photos of various ‘makers’ of hatch covers and uses a combination of audio, video and digital technology to deliver the learnings in an engaging and creative manner.
