Many incidents on ships occur because of unsafe acts and unsafe practices and not proper supervision from their seniors or lack of experience.

During the course, stress will be given on highlighting machinery breakdowns incidents in the engine room, cargo space and deck equipment, with emphasis on identification of the causes and lessons learnt from such incidents in order to avoid recurrence.

Course Objective

After the completion of the course, the participants will be able to -

• have an increased awareness of incidents related to breakdown of various machineries, equipments & machinery space, cargo equipment incidents.
• have an increased understanding of the causes of incidents discussed and lessons learned from same.
• Understand the need for necessary steps to avoid reoccurrence.
